Becoming a parent is life changing. Even those 40ish weeks of pregnancy can't prepare you for how different your life will be once your little bundle of joy arrives. More often than not, you will feel overwhelmed and overtired. Why not help out fellow new moms and new parents with a gift to let them know you're thinking about them? I remember the very thoughtful gifts Jacob and I received after having Emmett. They definitely raised my spirits and helped me get through those sleepless nights! Looking for a gift for the new parent or mom in your life? Check out my ideas below!
Being a new mom is all about comfort. Look for gifts that aim to relax and re-energize!
Being a new parent is all about efficiency. Look for gifts that make their lives easier!
Freezer dinners - Trader Joe's is the perfect place to pick up a selection of frozen/easy meals. Here are some ideas:
Mandarin Orange Chicken w/ Brown Rice and Spring Rolls/Pork Potstickers
Southwest Salad, Spinach Italian Sausage Gnocchi and Mini Cinnamon Sugar Churros
Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan (throw in some Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches while you're at it!)
Restaurant gift cards - ask the parents what their favorite restaurant is or just pick up a few gift cards from restaurants near their home. You could also order food for delivery and pay for it (just make sure to let them know in advance!).
Send the new parents a gift card to get fresh food that they can cook together sent directly to their home!
Offer to run their errands (wash car, pick up dry cleaning, shop for groceries, etc.) and actually do it!
Offer to babysit - This can really be a lifesaver!
Easy baby book - All parents want to document their baby's milestones, but for me it was extremely important to find a baby book that was easy to keep up with. This baby book definitely meets those needs!
Last but not least, Good coffee.
